Day 1: Saigon arrival – half day city tour
AM: On arrival at Tan San Nhat Airport at 9:30am, you are met and transferred to hotel. Check in hotel. Have lunch on your own. PM: City tour with History Museum, Binh Tay Market in Chinatown, Thien Hau Temple and lacquer workshop. Have welcome dinner at the restaurant in Saigon. Stay overnight at hotel in Saigon. (D)
Day 2: Saigon – Cu Chi – Cao Dai
AM: Breakfast at the hotel, 7.30 am, we start transfer to visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. We drive to Tay Ninh province for Cao Dai temple. Have lunch at the restaurant on the way. PM: Join Cao Dai followers to arrange their daily afternoon mass for half an hour (12.00). Have private car to transfer back to Saigon. Arrive in Saigon at 16.00. Stay overnight at hotel in Saigon. (B, L)
Day 4: Saigon – Vinh Long
This morning pick up from your hotel at 8.00 am we set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for it's floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. Visit Orchards farms, handicraft village. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish', before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. Towards the end of the day we drive back to Saigon Stay overnight at hotel in Saigon. (B, L)
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City – Departure
Have breakfast at hotel. Have free time to go walking, shopping… Our driver will pick up up at your hotel 12.30, transfer to the airport for your departure flight at 15.30. (B) |
